4.13 SunVote Toolkit - reconfigure keypad offtime

By default the voting pads will turn off after 10 minutes of inactivity. We can change this to 30 minutes or 1 hour (for example) by using the ToolKit. This step has to be repeated for each base station.

To do this, plug in your base station and download the Toolkit rar file from the attachment at the bottom of this article.

Once downloaded, right click on the file and unpack. You can unpack this folder anywhere, however, do not unpack this into your SunVote application folder.

Once unpacked, double click on the 'Tool Kit' application file.

This will open the following screen:

Now navigate to the tab 'Keypad Control'. This will show you the screen below.

The 'Off after' counter will be set to 10 minutes by default. Change this with the amount of minutes that you personally prefer. Anywhere between 30 minutes and 1 hour should be sufficient.

!!! Take into account that the higher you set the inactivity meter, the faster your batteries will drain. For this reason, do not select 'Keep Working' and do not put the minute counter too high.
