Syndesk
If you are importing your suppliers from Syndesk, then their city and postal code will be displayed in one column. For the import into Vera to be succesful, these have to be split into two columns. We can do this with a few simple clicks.
First, make sure to select the column you want to split, then click on 'Data' and 'Move to columns'. Make sure you have an empty column either on the left or the right before splitting.
Now click on 'Fixed width', we can use this because the postal codes all consist of 4 numbers. Click on next.
Put a line after the postal codes, this marks where it should be split. Click on next.
Click on finish.
The column will now be split up in two columns. you can now copy these values into the template to import the suppliers.
OpenSyndic
If you are importing your buildings from OpenSyndic, you'll see there are white rows between every building. To succesfully transform and import this data to Vera, we'll have to get rid of these. We can do this easily, with a few clicks.
First, go to the tab 'Start' and click on 'Search and select', find 'Select special' in the list.
Once on this screen, choose 'Empty values' and press OK.
The empty lines will now be selected. To delete them, go to 'Start' and look right to 'Cells' and click on 'Delete'.
The empty lines will now be gone. Your data is ready to copy and paste into the correct import format. Simply copy the column and paste it into the provided template.
